PDRN: inside Seoul’s salmon-DNA obsession

Walk into almost any skin clinic in Seoul and you will hear about PDRN. The ingredient became famous through injectable “skin boosters”, and it has since made its way into topical serums and ampoules. Here is the story.
What is PDRN?
Polydeoxyribonucleotide is a purified fraction of DNA, most commonly sourced from salmon. In cosmetics it is listed as Sodium DNA. Topically, it delivers dense, plumping hydration and supports the look of recovered, refined skin.
Why it pairs so well with peptides
PDRN focuses on recovery and refinement; copper peptides focus on firmness and renewal. Layered together — PDRN Glass Ampoule first, Blue Copper No.1 second — they make what our team calls the “double-boost” ritual.
Good to know
- PDRN is not vegan — ours is sourced as a by-product of the food industry.
- It is gentle and plays well with almost every other active.
- It is ideal after exfoliation or in-clinic treatments, when skin wants comfort.
